Services

Service Overview

At DLDC, we provide a comprehensive range of supports designed to help individuals and communities across County Donegal reach their full potential. Whether you’re looking for a new start in employment, seeking guidance on education and wellbeing, or working to grow your community organisation, we have the expertise and programmes to help.

Our services are delivered by an experienced, locally based team, free of charge, through a combination of EU and Irish Government funded programmes. From one-to-one support to group training and community grants, we meet you where you are and work with you to move forward.

Detailed Overview

Our services have been shaped over more than 25 years of working directly with people and communities across County Donegal. We understand that no two situations are the same, which is why we offer a wide range of supports that can be adapted to your individual needs or your organisation’s stage of development.

We operate across two areas: supports for individuals; focused on removing barriers related to employment, education, health, and family, and supports for communities; helping local groups build the skills, structures, and resources to grow and thrive. All our services are free, locally delivered, and funded through Irish Government and EU programmes.

We provide free, one-to-one and group supports across employment, health and wellbeing, education, family, and rural development. Whether you’re looking for work, exploring a new career path, or simply need someone to point you in the right direction, our team is here to help.

Our programmes include work placements, job readiness coaching, self-employment guidance, health and mindfulness classes, parenting supports, lifelong learning opportunities, and volunteering pathways, all delivered locally and tailored to your needs.

We work alongside community groups, social enterprises, and voluntary organisations at every stage of their development, from setting up and registering a new group, to strategic planning, governance training, and Charity Regulator compliance.

We also help organisations access funding, including LEADER grants of up to €200,000, and provide practical supports like volunteer matching and our Community Hands programme for groups carrying out local projects.
