TÚS Programme
About TÚS Programme
TÚS is a nationally delivered, participant-led work placement initiative designed to provide short-term employment opportunities for people who have been long-term unemployed.
Coordinated by DLDC across County Donegal, the programme places participants with community, voluntary, and non-profit organisations, giving them the chance to gain practical work experience, develop new skills, and rebuild confidence in a supportive environment.
Participants work 19.5 hours per week within their placement organisation, contributing to meaningful community work while taking an important step back towards the labour market. Placements are available across a wide range of roles and sectors, meaning there is likely an opportunity that suits your background, interests, and goals.
To be eligible, you must have been continuously unemployed for 12 or more months and be in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance. Referrals are made through your local Intreo centre.
How We Can Help
DLDC manages the TÚS programme across County Donegal, working with both participants and sponsor organisations to ensure placements are meaningful, well-supported, and beneficial for everyone involved.
Our team of supervisors is based across the county, providing regular support to participants throughout their placement and ensuring that any questions or challenges are addressed promptly. Whether you are a job seeker looking to get back into work or a community organisation seeking additional support, our team is here to guide you through the process.
For Participants
We provide one-to-one and group support covering CV and cover letter development, online job search, skills analysis, interview preparation, and 17+ weeks of in-employment support once you secure a role.
For Sponsor Organisations
We advertise your vacancies free of charge, connect you with suitable candidates, provide information on employer incentive schemes like Jobs Plus, and offer in-employment support to help with staff retention.
